Jodi F. Bouer:
Ms. Bouer is the principal in her own law practice, Bouer Law LLC (Bouer Law), and partner in Health Coverage Advocates of Princeton LLC (HCAP).
She graduated with Highest Honors in the Litigation Concentration from Boston University School of Law and in the top 3% of her class from Rutgers University. For over 12 years, she worked as an insurance litigator for the top law firms and insurers in New Jersey, including CNA, the Home Insurance Company, and Sills Cummis & Gross. Prior to that, Ms. Bouer worked as an insurance broker. She has also taught Insurance Law at Seton Hall Law School.
Bouer Law focuses on compelling insurance carriers to pay claims for autism therapies. Ms. Bouer opened Bouer Law after successfully pursuing health insurance coverage for a family member, a gravely ill friend and then a child on the autism spectrum. She realized there was a great need for a law firm that specializes in representing policyholders, providers and insurance professionals in pursuit of health insurance coverage.
Ms. Bouer has now teamed up with insurance claims and billing specialist, Yvonne McNamee, to form HCAP, a cost-effective claims and advocacy service that helps families who have an undisputed right to coverage for autism therapies, submit and ensure that their claims are properly processed and reimbursed. This service was created as a way for parents to obtain reimbursement without having to deal with the day-t-day minutia of submitting and following claims, allowing them to focus on the needs of their child.
Yvonne McNamee:
Yvonne McNamee is a billing and coding specialist and partner in HCAP.
She and Ms. Bouer have worked together these past years to help many Bouer Law clients obtain reimbursement for autism and other therapies, which would have been otherwise barred.
She has certification in Medical Practice Management and Medical Billing and Coding from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey and began her career over 20 years ago as a pediatric medical practice manager. Over the years, Ms. McNamee has worked independently and successfully with many medical and mental health practices to develop a specialty in handling insurance claims and appeals for children on the autism spectrum.
Ms. McNamee supervises the coding, billing and claims activities of HCAP, which are the essential components in helping our clients obtain accurate and timely reimbursement for autism therapies such as speech, occupational, physical and Applied Behavioral Analysis therapies.
Her experience gives Ms. McNamee the ability to approach claims submissions and appeals in a logical, pragmatic, and cost effective manner. She is an integral part of HCAP’s success in submitting claims and winning appeals on behalf of it’s clients.
Ms. McNamee’s background and vast knowledge of general medicine, billing, coding, and the claims and appeals process, are an exceptional complement to HCAP’s mission to help maximize health insurance reimbursements for families with children on the autism spectrum.
